To me Huck is somewhat of an inspirational character, he has a lot of courage and has a will to survive. After reading in to these chapters my first general response to Huck is that I like his character. In many ways I feel like I can relate to his sense of being. His experiences are somewhat similar to ones that I have had, and the feelings he constantly has to battle are ones I have also dealt with. Huck is an ambitious person but nieve at times and this shows through his character constantly as the story unfolds. Based on his adventures and the relationship with his dad I would say Huck is very independent and strong hearted. No matter what he has been through he seems to walk with his head up high to show his courage. Huck may may seem ignorant at times because what society has taught him, but deep down inside he has a really good heart and this is something that shows through out the relationship that he has with Jim.
so the topic you choose to write on doesnt really follow the same peer review method as our other essays. most of the questions do not apply to this so i am tossing them out the window.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a small sample of what your final essay will be, seems like your heading in a good direction. you write in an almost poetic fashion, i am kind of sidetracked by that. i would rather read some of your other writings, are there any that are public approved or do you mostly write for yourself.
i like your last sentence there, Huck really does seem to have a positive attitude throughout the entire story, hes able to just let things roll off of him. i have yet to finish the story but i would think the average person would end up breaking down at some point, hes been through some pretty bad stuff.

I really like it so far. I like the intro how you kind of build up hucks character. I feel like your essay will be really good when you go more indebted about how you can relate to huck and give examples from the book. How is adventures show is character? Also you say "my first general responce to huck...", do you feel the same after reading the book? Also maybe talk more about his relationship with jim because that is someone you see him interact with through out the book. But good start I'm sure you already know how you are going to finish the writing.

ReplyDeleteThis is different essay than all the others in our group. U are heading the right way with your essay. maybe you could give jut bit of example of u and Hucks story. But you know what u doin? Keep up doing what u are doing with this paper.
